Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. Highlights
Sallie Mae Helps Prepare Students for a Future of Economic Success
Sallie Mae, recently presented Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Inc. with a check for 20,000 dollars from the Sallie Mae Fund. The check was presented by Sallie Mae president Troy Standish, and Sallie Mae Vice President and board member of Junior Achievement, Cathy Wotring to Melissa Turlip, president of Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania, at the Sallie Mae facility located in Hanover Township Industrial Park.
Funding through the Sallie Mae Fund will be allocated to provide economic literacy programs to many local schools and their students. Also present were Sallie Mae volunteers that are currently donating their time and experience educating students in local classrooms including Rice Elementary and Fairview Elementary about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work-readiness.
